Parallels Desktop 9 AND Autodesk Building Design Suite Ultimate 2014

Hi There,

I got a new MacBook Pro 15" w retina display (late 2013), and I am trying to install the "Autodesk Building Design Suite Ultimate 2014" on Windows 8 pro on Parallels Desktop 9.

As soon as I start the installer the following message "unsupported Operating System, you cannot install this product on the current operating system" pops out.

I assigned 8GB of RAM and 4 CPU cores for Parallels.

What did I miss? and why it is not working out at all?!!

The error message usually means you are trying to install the 32-bit version in a 64-bit environment or vice-versa, an easy fix if you know what you got for software and OS.

Dig deeper than just superficially with names/brands.

Thanks for replying.

The Window 8 Pro version I am using is a 64-bit, and the Autodesk suit version is also a 64-bit one (or at least as stated).

BTW, Looking for a good gear to achieve tasks is not superficial 😉

Then it must not like your Win8/Parallels combo: see if the parallels team can help you while you wait around for a staffer to take a stab at it http://kb.parallels.com/en/6571
