Options file has stopped working

The adskflex.opt file we have been using for maybe 24 months no longer seems to be working, or is random. Users not listed in the GROUP are able to get a license?

We have tried stopping the service, rewriting the options file line by line in a clean text file and tested the problem with a range of users.

Users that were removed from GROUP weeks ago can now get a license, but a user that has just been removed today is correctly denied a license.

The other odd thing is any settings made in adskflex.opt only seem to be working for 2006 and not 2008.

This problem is serious for us as we change access to licenses based on projects staff are working on, so staff being able to get a license when they are meant to be locked out is a big issue.

Can anyone help please?

Are there any clues in the debug log file?
Something like this:
15:46:00 (adskflex) Rereading options file...
15:48:11 (adskflex) Multiple dup-groupings in effect for License_Holder:
15:48:11 (adskflex) NONE vs. HOST
15:48:11 (adskflex) No further warnings about this.

Jimmy

Many thanks for the pointer to the debug log file. The clue I needed was hiding in there clearly stating the options file could not be read. There was actually no problem with the options file, the problem was a reference to adskflex.opt in the license file?
The reference worked fine with version 10.x.x of LMTOOLS but once upgraded to 11.4 seems to stop the options file from working.

Very odd.

Great that you got it solved.
Even in the 11.4 en user guide it describes how to add the path to the
options file in the license file so it should work but good that the
workaround works to just place it in the same folder as the license file.
