One AutoCad server for two separated networks?

Is it possible to use a single AC server for two separated networks? The networks cannot be physically connected by two network cards in the server, for instance. Can I use the Internet to connect the two networks to the server? If yes, how do I go about? I urgently need help, and I would be VERY grateful for all suggestions. (I'm using AutoCad 2000.) Kalle

Tell us more about your requirements. If two things are, in fact, not
"physically connected", then there's no way they can communicate (short of
wireless cards or infrared). If one network needs to be secure, I doubt
that it would be permitted to connect to the Internet, in any case. What
exactly is permitted or not permitted? What is the end goal?

It's my understanding that AutoCAD 2000 does not support access to a server
over a Wide Area Network (i.e., not a local LAN), but I'm not sure. I don't
know if AutoCAD 2004 supports WAN, or VPN access over a WAN, either; anyone?

Servers are cheap enough; I'd get another one.

What type of server are you talking about,
data, license or application files?  Sharing data across raw internet links
presents legal, security and performance issues.  If you just want to share
drawing files over internet connections I recommend an ftp server then at least
it would require a password to access your data.  Users could then ftp the
data down and up as the edit the dwgs.  Servicing network license requests
across raw internet connections does not work with the licensing system provided
with AutoCAD 2000 and would violate the license agreement for that product
version as well.  As for sharing the application across the internet, that
too is technically prohibitive and in violation of the product license
agreement.
