I am trying to transfer AutoCAD LT 2009 from one computer to another but have been unable to do so. When I check the "About" section and even read the Belarc report, it shows that the License is 000-00000000. How is this possible if the software is installed and registered? I'm not sure which disk was used during the original install (done by an employee no longer here) and I have several disks not labeled for specific individuals.
AutoDesk support says I can not be issued a new license with the Serial Number. I need to obtain a new license because the current license will not transfer through the x-fer utility.
Can anyone explain why the Serial Number would be reading all zeroes?
This was a minor known issue that happened occasionally. You can read about it here:
Keep in mind that 2009 is now retired and not supported on Windows 7 or 8.x. If you have never upgraded it or it hasn't been on Subscription, you still may be able to activate it on an existing Windows XP or Vista machine. Good Luck!
