Newbie FLEX Options file question (acad 2005/6)

Hi,

I haven't got the facility to try this out first, so I hope those who have done this will be able to help!.

I want to know when you change an options file in FLEX, how do you reload it?, and more importantly -- what happens to those users who already have lics at that instance? Do they lose their lics for that session and have to restart acad? Or do I have to do this at a time once I've got everone to close their Acad sessions?

Thanks if you can help!

Hello,

The only options is to stop Flexlm and restart it.
No problem for users that already have a license.

We've actually seen some problems with the autosave settings on the
client getting altered when a license is lost. Weird, and annoying.

Current versions of FLEXlm (version 9 and above) do not require stopping and
restarting the license manager when options files are changed. Simply
reread the license file and the options file changes will be refreshed as
well.
