Newbie; ADLM Novel vs NT?

Good Afternoon,

I am looking at setting up several different sections of ADLM through out
our company (several different offices) and would be interested to hear the
benefits and/or draw backs of using it on a NT or Novel system. I am look
at using resource files to limit and reserve access. Also did I read that
it is only certified on pre NW5.01, if so then could anyone tell me of some
of the problems I may experience on our post NW5.01 boxes?

Thanks for all coments.
Later,
John.

John,

Resource files are not supported on the Netware version of our license
manager. This is not one of those "not supported but may work" deals, the
functionality is simply not there.

Regardless of your server OS, I'd suggest taking an old NT box, assigning
it a static IP address, and running ADLM on it. This configuration should
work whether you're running Novell, NTServer, Linux, whatever...

I recommend this because I like to minimize the apps running on my
File/Print server. Too many opportunities for failure.
