Network install of A2K wont start-up (worked before!)

I have a user that I installed our networked version of A2k and it worked
fine. Just recently it stopped working for him. I have other users that
    are working fine...

It starts up to the AutoCAD 2000 "Banner Ad" and just shows the hourglass
and locks up the entire machine! The mouse doesn't move, it wont even warm
re-boot, and must be cold-booted to restart. He is using Win 95. )-:

So, I went and un-installed and re-installed,... same thing. no
difference. I even tried to install the thin client installation, no
difference. It still just hangs on the AutoCAD 2000 banner.

The only thing, that we can think of, that has changed on his machine, is
some IS person upgraded his Lotus Notes installation to R5? Maybe he
changed some networking settings, but I checked all of the TCP/IP settings,
and it all looks good. I suppose I should do a ping..., but I can connect
to the server with no problems, and it worked before.

    Any Ideas?

I don't think this is a network issue, they usually do hot hang the system
that way, they just generate errors and the application dies. My guess is
that when software was added to that system a system file was changed to one
incompatible with AutoCAD. When they installed Lotus Notes, did your IS
department use the publisher's install routine or did they use some sort of
    deployment tool such as SMS?

    Ken,

You can easily verify Jerry's observation by installing the stand-alone version
of A2K to the local hard drive.
If A2k continues to lock up then it definitely isn't a network issue.
