I am not that knowledgable about every kind of network software that can be
used. Currently, we have approximately 20 computers networked together
using Novell Netware 5.0 with GWIA (for e-mailing) and Backup Exec (for
backing up the server). We use the server mainly for storing files and run
the 7 or so machines for AutoCAD as stand alone machines. We are not overly
impressed with our performance from the network especially when it comes to
not being able to open/save AutoCAD files on a daily basis. I was asked the
other day what other networking options there were for an office our size
and I am not sure of this. If any one has any suggestions, I would
appreciate it.
Also, what would be the best network for about 8 machines with about 3-4 of
those machines being the ones to run AutoCAD?
