Network License

We currently run several seats of a Network Version of Autocad 2005.......Within the LMTOOLS under the server diags tab when our files for our different Autocad versions states "Requests from the same USER/HOST do not consume a new license"....................doesnt this mean that if this computer were to launch Autocad that it would not take one of the seats with it?

No. It's saying that only the first session on one PC uses one of the network seats. If you start additional sessions on the same PC, additional seats are not used. This is how Autodesk has chosen to configure network licenses, since multiple sessions on one PC are used only by one person. This is also a good explanation of the reason why support for Citrix was dropped (Windows Terminal Services); since it allows multiple users to run remotely on a single PC, using multiple sessions, but since the multiple sessions only consume a single network license, you are therefore violating your license agreement. --Cy-- "goober" wrote in message news:1144036.1082564215499.JavaMail.jive@jiveforum1.autodesk.com...
