    Network License & Speed issues.

    Autodesk:

We have been battling for quite some time with speed issues in AutoCAD 2000.
We once thought it could be our customization or PC3 files but now we
believe it could be an issue with the network licensing. Lets just say that
all the network license copies installed throughout our office operate at a
snails pace in spite of the fact they are running on some very high speed
processors. The only 2 installs that seem to run at normal speed are those
that were installed directly from the disk bypassing the network license
    server.

We have a brand new lightning fast file server and PCs so I seriously doubt
    that it is our hardware....

My question is: has there been any reported history or complaints of speed
issues regarding a network license copy of autocad 2000. Also, could it be
a combination of several factors including the network licensing server that
    could be slowing us down?

I have no problems with network licenses.

    100Mbs switched network
800MHZ with 512 MB RAM file server with all of our files plus AdLM
PII 233MHZ with 128 MB RAM clients (here is the only slow part)

We have full client installs, not network heavy installs. If you do have
network heavy installs that will slow you down a bit, but it sounds like
you're getting slowed down more than a network heavy installation normally
    would.

You didn't tell us what kind of network you are on:
    Speed of network
NOS (OS running on the server(s))
    file server specs
    apps running on AdLM server
are the file server and AdLM server the same
    what type of installations
    client specs
apps running on the client (antivirus software)
    Network protocol
How are you specifying the AdLM server (ACADSERVER environment variable)
---- Try specifying this with @, where is
    your AdLM server's name

YES! We have the same problem!! We have a similar setup, although our
servers are all NT 4. I haven't been able to find any information about
this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
