Network License Manager Update 11.4.1

I thought many of you would be interested in knowing that Macrovision has updated their LMGRD.EXE, LMTOOLS.EXE, and LMUTIL.EXE to 11.4.1. I have downloaded and tested this with Autodesk licenses without any issues, as would be expected.

Enjoy!

Are there any improvements worth noting that would make this a recommended
upgrade from the version that ships with R2008?

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a log of updates made in this version. However, the update to the utility to 11.4.1 from the 10.8 that ships with 2008 is a nice improvement. I am sure that something minor must have been addressed with 11.4 for there to be a .1 release.

In any case, those who always want the latest and greatest... here it is.

I recall reading that about 70 fixes had been done. In most cases these
issues are something which covers more specific scenarios but in any case it
never hurts using the latest build.

"it never hurts using the latest build"
Sometimes it actually hurts due to regression bugs that are introduced.
But it's easy to downgrade if any problems should arise.
Don't just make the upgrade in the morning and leave for a meeting the rest
of the day or the like.

I've used 11.4.1 for quite a while and I've not found any issues so far.

Say perhaps they relax the < 300 ms requirement for license pull..... maybe
maybe!
Or is that in the dll shipping with the software?...

You can increase the time for a license pull with the FLEXLM_TIMEOUT system environment variable.
