Network License Inconsistincies

All,

I have a client who is having issues with users obtaining a network license for AutoCAD. The license file contains both AutoCAD and Revit licenses. The issue is that when a user tries to start AutoCAD they receive an error message stating no license exists. However, if the license service on the server is restarted , the user can get in. He has to do this every time a new user wants to get into AutoCAD.

I am new to Autodesk network licensing and I was hoping that someone has heard of this issue and can give me some guidance as to how this issue can be resolved.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the license isn't being released when the user closes AutoCAD. Have the user close it down, then check the LM server status to see if it is still checked out to that user.

Might have to make an options file to TIMEOUT idle licenses.

Hi,

Launch LMtools on your server, goto "Server status" and click on "Perform
status inquiry".
Give us what information are display.
