Network Installation Wizard w/Civil Series

Quick question for the group, has anyone used the Network Installation Wizard to create a stand alone deployment for Civil Series 2004? I've used the wizard to create a deployment for vanilla AutoCAD, which works without a hitch. However, the same procedure with Civil Series appears to ignore the custom settings for search paths and file locations. Using the wizard to modify the deployment has no effect, the path statements are there, but, not applied when installing. Thanks for any words of wisdom.

Kelly,

You are quite correct the NIW wizard with a vertical application will not
take any notice of custom profile or path information. I've had a call open
with Autodesk with regards to Mechanical 2004 and NIW custom setting since
29 July 2003 and while it has been escalated I still haven't received a
response. One of the reason I believe for this is that each department in
AutoDesk is responsible for their own product and AutoCAD is the only one to
take advantage of the NIW customisation ability at this point. This really
caught me out on a large site as it reverts Mechanical to a semi standard
AutoCAD profile. To get round this we don't modify any settings in the NIW
but import an arg file after installation. Sure would be nice though if it
worked correctly.

Regards,
Ricky

HI,
Refer to TS80310 for workaround. A little more work than setting paths on admin image but a lot less work than changing every machine.
