Need to enter name of FlexLM server every time

Each time Land Desktop 3 is started, the FlexLM licence finder pops up asking for the computer name of the licence server. It then works fine but doesn't seen to remember it once ACAD is closed. The same happens with Cad Overlay 2002.
The FlexLM server runs on an NT4(SP6) server. ACAD is client-installed and running on Win2K(SP2) and Win98SE. I've tried setting the LM_LICENCE_FILE environment variable and pinging the server gives the expected IP address.

Quit messing with the LM_LICENSE_FILE variable and look in the same folder as your
acad.exe for a file called licepath.lic. The file (which you can open in your favorite
text editor) should read

SERVER MYSERVERNAME 116115b1d23a
USE_SERVER

Where MYSERVERNAME is the name of your license server and
116115b1d23a is the ethernet address of your license server.

Thanks for that. The Licpath.lic file contained the machine name and IP address rather than the ethernet address.
