NIW 2005/2004

Are there any issues with using the 2005 NIW to maintain our 2004 deployments? Does the 2005 NIW fix all the 2004 issues? Thanks, John

There was a patch that had to be downloaded to replace a dll for AutoCAD and Building Systems and ADT also had patches. >>> Jimmy Bergmark 3/26/2004 3:24:32 PM >>> What issues do you reffer to? -- Best Regards, Jimmy Bergmark CAD and Database Developer Manager at www.pharmadule-emtunga.com Take a look at JTB FlexReport (FLEXlm report tool) - www.jtbworld.com/jtbflexreport SmartPurger (Purges automatically) - www.jtbworld.com/?/smartpurger.htm or download some freeware at www.jtbworld.com More on AutoCAD 2005; www.jtbworld.com/autocad2005.htm "John burnsmcd dotcom>" wrote in message news:4064959b_1@newsprd01... > Are there any issues with using the 2005 NIW to maintain our 2004 > deployments? Hi John, Those were hot fixes and they were rolled up into the 2005 version of NIW. Also the AutoCAD 2005 NIW is backward compatible with 2004. Hope this helps. Bud, Thanks for the responses. Now another question for you. If I use 2005NIW to create images for ADT and ABS 2004 will they still need to be hot fixed per the knowledge base? Hi John, All the NIW fixes are in the 2005 flavor of NIW. There are some difference between ADT 2005 NIW and AutoCAD 2005 NIW so if your createing 2005 ADT images, you should use the ADT Flavor of NIW. Now if your talking about any AutoCAD or ADT specific patches you would still need to apply them by using the MSP. Hope this helps.
