Re: My Autodesk Inventor won't start or open

Hello, I have recently downloaded Autodesk Inventor Student 2013. After installing it, I tried to open it but a page pops up saying, "Please wait while your license is being verified", then it will say "Autodesk component has stopped working" and it stops.

I tried to import the license that I was given however every time it says, "Import License failed".

I also tried to manually activate my license but I do not have a request code, which should be given after opening the program, which I can not open it.

I have spent several hours on the autodesk support site looking at discussion forums with no luck, trying to figure out how to open the program successfully and I even updated all of the updates needed on my computer. That seemed to help a little bit but nothing is still working.

I need this program in order to get homework done and I was wondering if anyone at all have any advise or suggestions I can do to allow the program to work properly on my computer?

I would start by blowing away your ProductInformation.pit file, then reinstalling Inventor. Make sure you have local admin rights, UAC is disabled, and anti-virus is off. Also, make sure you are on a compatible OS, like Windows 7, and not Vista.
