Take out the @ and you should be ok. The @ limits you to pulling the
license from only that server no matter what you have after it. Also, you
need a semi colon as a seperator, not the comma. Sould be like this: SET
ACADSERVER=LOCAL;REMOTE.

The software is AutoCAD Land Develop Desktop 2i, the client machines are
win9x, and the AdLM servers are WinNT4. We have two offices connect to each
other via a WAN. We would like to split our licenses up to the two offices
so that we have 2 licenses in the remote office and the rest in the main
office.
That is not the problem. The problem is when we send a draftsman down to the
remote office for the day and the two licenses down there are used up. I
have been playing with "SET ACADSERVER=@LOCAL,REMOTE" in hopes that if LOCAL
has no licenses that it will fail over to REMOTE.
If I use winquery.exe (the tool to see what licenses are free/used) I can
see both servers so I feel that I have ACADSERVER variable set correctly.
What I want to know is when AutoCAD queries the first server and there is no
license how do I get it to fail over to the second server that has extra
licenses. Can this be done?
I would put all the licenses on a single server, which does work, but if the
WAN connection went down we would be S.O.L.
