I need to move my licence server from it's present home on an NT server
and I have many questions. I have read that what I need to do is install
and uninstall so that is what I plan to do.
1) I can move to either a Novell 4.11 server or an old NT workstation
3.51.Which is perferable and is it posible or legal to make the other a
backup or redundant server.
2) What is the reauthorization process?
3)The workstations were deployed from an image on the server. Can that
remain and is there anything that needs to be changed on the
workstations if the license server is moved.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Tom,
If you move the AdLM to a Netware server, you will have to remove AutoCAD
from the workstations, build IPX deployments and deploy them to the
workstations. If you move AdLM to a Windows server, you will not have to do
this. You may want to consider upgrading the NT 3.51 box to NT 4.0 for
supportability reasons. While I do not anticipate a problem running AdLM on
W NT 3.51, be aware that the build of AdLM shipped with AutoCAD 2000 was not
tested on W NT 3.51. The builds of AdLM shipped with AutoCAD 14 and 14.01
were tested on W NT 3.31.
