Is it true that to password protect drawings that install must have been configured to allow for password protection?
Reviewing postings from the various boards, it seems that the some INSTALLATIONS optionally include password protection. HOW does one modify the installation to support Password Protection
We have drawings that have been password protected, however we can only open them from one workstation. Drawings do need to be password protected and the passwords were added by a designer who no longer works for us. Can anyone weight in on;
(1) Why only from ONE workstation
(2) How do we change or remove the password
The manuals and on line information is of no use/help. We are using ACAD 2010 and 2011. It should be noted that going to the “Options Tab” and then selecting “Security Options” under OPEN/SAVE on the workstation that can be used for accessing the password protected files OR any other workstation returns with an error indicating that we have “NO VALID DIGITAL ID”, so clearly this is not where the password was loaded ?

HELP ?
