Yes you can run the R14 adlm along side the 2k2 adlm. They use a completely different
technology and don't even know that one another exist. The new adlm can be loaded on the
existing license server without any problem (assuming that it is an NT box and not a
netware box). You can also load 2k2 on the same workstation as R14 without any significant
problems (actually I haven't seen any problems, but I probably haven't tried everything).
There is a "limit" to how long autodesk allows you to run an original version and the
upgrade "concurrently" (read the license agreement, I think it's in there). This doesn't
actually time bomb you license server or anything like that, and there is no technological
reason that you can't do it forever (legal reasons, yes, technological reasons, no). I've
never heard of autodesk actually getting on to someone for running two versions
concurrently, but that doesn't mean that they haven't.
