Hello,

I recently Installed the Student version of Maya 2012. The installation was a bit bumpy at first because I didnt have Microsoft .net 4 installed or whatever. But after I got that installed, Maya 2012 installed with no issues.

Now when I go to actually Launch Maya though, only the output window pops up. The program never actually starts up. Although in my task manager it says its running at about 33mb of memory.

I am on:

-Windows 7 64x

-Intel i7 920

-GeForce GTX 460

Does anyone have any solutions? I don't even get an error from Maya, and I have tried unistalling it and reinstalling multiple times.

ALSO, Maya 2011, and 2010 have the same exact issue! Please help.

If there is any other application blocked your program startup? especially anti-virus, you can try to close them and then start Maya.

Can you delete your prefs for Maya to reset it back to default?

Documents > Maya > 2012 > prefs

The GTX card is not supported for Maya.

I'm having the same issue- tried solutions listed here and none of it works. So many hours wasted today :'(
