I own Maya Complete 2009. I purchased it in Oct 2008, installed it and the license, and have been using it happily ever since. (I would love to upgrade but cannot afford to).
I moved to a new location a month ago. I plugged in my computer and started up Maya no problem. I've been using it every day this past month.
Yesterday, I switched my computer over to being on a wireless network, and now, Maya will not run.
>>>>"Maya 2009 could not be started because there are no appropriate licenses installed on this computer."
Luckily I save everything, including my activation email from 2008 with the attached .DAT license file. So, I saved the file to my harddrive, and open the Product Configuration Tool. I follow the steps and select the saved license, and I get this error:
>>>>>"The file contains invalid data. ERROR: FEATURE Maya Complete has invalid host identifier of ######### (line 1)."
(the ######### are representative of the real string of characters which I don't want to copy here)
I have also tried copying and pasting the content inside the file, but I get the same error.
Help please.
Problem is solved.
I had disabled my ethernet card since I didn't actually need it to get online anymore, but that was the hardware Maya was using to identify my computer.
