MFC42.DLL crash after installing Groupwise 5.5

I have a client running Autocad 2000 on 2 workstations with WIN98. They
upgraded their server to Netware 5 SBS and implemented Groupwise 5.5.
Groupwise encountered errors with the Autodesk version of MFC42.DLL, so
I manually replaced it with the one from Groupwise. Groupwise runs fine
now, but Autocad will not launch (ACAD crashes using the MFC42.DLL).
I've considered loading the Autocad version of MFC into the ACAD
directory and the Groupwise version in the GRPWISE directory, but that
would mean the 2 apps couldn't be open at the same time.

Any fixes you can think of?

Gary,

It sounds like Novell may have made an error or dependency on an old DLL. I
would contact Novell on this if you right-click on the MFC42.DLL and the
version of the AutoCAD one is higher than the Novell one. I have not heard
of this problem and you may get more feedback in the network discussion
group. AutoCAD 2000 has had no issues running on more current DLLs.

Sincerely,

Hi Gary,

Check directly with Novell, I have a feeling you will find out that they have an update here;-)...

Take care.

Bud
