MDT50 and VIP

We're just getting around to installing MDT50 on the network. Our
organization has a VIP on MDT50. When installing the software on the
network, someplace I read that I didn't have to get an authorization code if
this was a VIP version.
I installed a client, then installed license manager on the machine that had
the license manager for MDT40. The license manager picked up MDT40 license
after I keyed in the number orginally supplied by Autodesk, didn't pick up
the MDT50 license.

Do I have to get another authorization code for MDT50 for a network version?

Hi Lonnie,

yes, ADLM uses Elan License Manager and will need a new license file for MDT 5.
You can run it on the same license manager that is running 4, it just needs the
lic file created for 5. Call in and give them your server code. Then you
should be set.

Take care.
