Lost connection license server

Hello there,

We are using Acad mechanical desktop 4.0, wich gets its licenses from a server in our network. When a regular user starts Acad, it gets a license. After 10-30 minutes, an error pops up telling that the connection to the license server has been lost. It will give users a few minutes to save their work, and then closes. When i log in as an administrator, i can leave the program running a very long time. Eventually, there will come an error to, but i think it could have something to do with a time-out of the program..(only occurred after leaving it on a night without mouse movement).

Can someone help me out with this problem? Is it TCP/IP related?

thanks

What spec are you running the ADLM server on? I've seen this when running
the ADLM on a NT workstation and not a NT server.

Regards,
Ricky

Hello Ricky,

We are running the ADLM server on a W2k advanced server. The server and w2k prof. workstation (were acad resides on) are both inthe same active directory.

Thanks.
