Lisence manager in linux (ACAD2008)?

Is it possible to run lisence manager (for AutoCAD 2008) on Linux? I understood that Autodesk does not have vendor daemon for Linux... is this still valid information?

As Autodesk does not have the daemon for Linux you cannot run Autodesk's
licenses on Linux unless there is some hack for it that I don't know about.

Correct. I still think it's surprising that this is the case though. You'd
think that in a modern environment this would be possible esp. with the
interest for Linux. This is merely a business descision rather than
technical though.
