I would like to do local installs of autocad for performance reasons and
still use the license manger on the server. Is this possible?

Thanks,

Wes

Yes this is possible but you must create a "client deployment." This is a
"image" of what will be installed on the workstations that you place on the
server somewhere. To start this process from the cd go to the netsetup
folder and run the setup.exe. You will be prompted about what type of
install you want to do You will want to do the "Client and Autodesk License
Manager Installation". This will allow you to create the client deployment.
You'll need to select a location on the server where you will want to place
the "deployment". When that is complete all you need to do is double click
the setup.exe from the network location you selected. AutoCAD will be
installed to the workstation and will work with the adlm. There are some
people who've had some luck "hacking" a local install to listen to the
license manager but I'd not recommend it.
