License borrowing failed

Last week I borrowed successfully our license of Map 2008 till Friday.

Today I tried to borrow it again but it did not work. When I perform a server diagnostic in the lmtool I get the following massage:

This license cannot be checked out because:
License BORROW support not enabled.
Feature: 55900MAP_2008_0F
License path: *********
FLEXnet Licensing error:-68,576

I get this massage for all Autodesk-licenses.

What’s wrong? How can I borrow the license again?

Hi,

Perhaps have you disable the option in file adskflex.opt

thanks for your replly.

I did not find a file named adskflex.opt.

Where should I search?

Hi,

In the same directory as adskflex.exe (c:\program files\autodesk network
licence manager).

Hi,

there is no file adskflex.opt
Up to now I don't have a solution for the problem.

Can you say what version of Lmtools and adskflexe you have ?

The error message appearing when performing a diagnostic is benign and should not impeach you to borrow a license.
Which message you obtain in the client when you try to borrow the license?
Did you set something in the Borrow tab in LMTOOLS? If is the case, you should clean all the fields, Autodesk recommends to not use the Borrow tab to borrow licenses.
Borrow should be done only from the client, within the About > Product License Information dialog box.

Dear Antonio,

You are totally right, license borrowing from the client is working! We did not use license borrowing since long time and so I forgot this option. But Support from Autodesk did not say anything to me, not to use the Borrow tab in LMTOOLS!

So the problem is solved!

Hi Markus,
I should have noticed this to you in my first reply.
Autodesk have a solution published that applies as well for 2010 products. Using the Borrowing tab in LMTOOLS
The solution states that „...The Borrowing tab in LMTOOLS is not used with Autodesk products. Using this tab may cause unexpected results (including the potential for lost licenses). The Borrowing tab exists in LMTOOLS to support other vendor's products. While some users have been successful using the Borrow tab in LMTOOLS with Autodesk products, it is not tested or supported and has caused issues for users in the past."

In the Perform Diagnostics output, you get an error for the package:
"78900SFTIMA_F" v1.000, vendor: adskflex
License server: mtl-example
floating license starts: 1-jan-1990, expires: 12-aug-2010
Requests from the same USER/HOST do not consume a new license

This license cannot be checked out because:
A PACKAGE component must be specified.
Feature: 78900SFTIMA_F
License path: C:\Program Files\Autodesk Network License Manager\SFTIMA2010.lic;
FLEXnet Licensing error:-125,147
But for the actual licenses (aka features), you get this:
This license can be checked out
-----------------------------------------------------
"84100SFTIMA_2010_0F" v1.000, vendor: adskflex


Have learnt it can be ignored but it wont issue licenses to the client station.
Please what is the final solution to this error.
I need detailed help .

The error on clients station reads
Your application was not able to obtain a license because the flexnet license server manger could not determine where to find the licensing data it needs. choose one of the following 1. specify license server system 2. specify license file.

i need the fastest help now for a customer
