but it used to be that if one person wasn't using the software the other could
get on it. Now only one user gets, "THE LICENSE SERVER IS DOWN", then receives
the error "FATAL ERROR: THE SECURITY SYSTEM (SOFTLOCK LICENSE MANAGER) IS NOT
FUNCTIONING OR IS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED." Now if it was not functioning
correctly or not installed right, why would the other user be able to use the
software?

I can ping by IP and hostname. The ACADSERVER value is set to the name of the
server that the client connects to run AutoCAD. Any other
ideas?

searched for the ADLM.log and nothing showed up. The ADML.log isn't on the
client machine. I reinstalled the image from the server to the workstation,
and I still get the the same errors.
