License Order question

I think I am having an issue that I shouldn't be having if I understand the documentation correctly.

We have 165 license of AutoCAD Mechanical and 2 licenses of Product Design Suite Ultimate (Inventor)

We started running out of licenses for PDSU and I noticed that regular AutoCAD Mechanical users (installed from our AutoCAD Mechanical media) were grabbing AutoCAD Mechanical licenses from the Product Design Suite - effectively blocking us from using Inventor. The weird thing is - it isn't ALL of the users that are doing it...just a few...although they are all installed the same way.

In the log for a correctly working AutoCAD Mechanical users - we see 2 lines

64400AMECH_PP_F

59200AMECH_PP_2009_FF

For the incorrect license request AutoCAD Mechanical users - we see

85815PDSU_F

59200AMECH_PP_2009_FF

Any ideas? Thanks!

Marty

I have tested a similar workflow with AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 and Product Design Suite 2012.  Because you are using an older version of AutoCAD Mechanical, you will need to generate (issue)  all your licenses in your license file on the SAME date.

www.licenseparser.com - to check what licenses are in our license file.

You can create your license online here:

There is a post here for Maya rendering:

Because licensing is the same for all products, this general rule applies.

Yep, I all ready tried that. They all have the same date all ready. Thanks.

Can you make sure that AutoCAD Mechanical license is at the top of the license file?
