We have 20 total users, 15 licences on the server, and three stand-alones. I
am trying to figure out the best way to make use of our investment, and also
keep the pain and suffering down for architecture staff and support staff.
To that end I see two ways of doing this:
1: Stand-alones on laptops, Network licences in the office.
2: Upgrade the stand-alones to network, and have users check out a license
when they need to take a laptop.
The first option seems easiest, as nobody ever arrives at a meeting with a
laptop and no AutoCAD, but it also means that as many as three licenses are
wasted when all three laptops are not being used. The second option gives us
better flexability, but users have to understand how to borrow a licenses,
and if they forget we need to be able to get them running via e:mail.
So, what is everyone else doing?
Best,
Gordon
