I just downloaded AutoCAD 2015 and created a deployment for our 4 seats but did not install it yet. I went online and activated my new serial number for 2015 and then created a LIC file for it. There was some red text warning that my previous ACAD software might stop working and I needed to generate a new LIC file for each one.
We have 4 seats under subscription for AutoCAD and I have 2012, 2013, 2014, and now 2015. I have 4 LIC files that were generated on the same day.
I am running 2014 but a few users are still on 2013 and some might have only 2012 installed (we have 15 users for 4 seats) and we only occasionally run ACAD to do light drafting work.
How many of the 4 LIC files do I need to combine? Or do I need to combine any of them? The complicating factor is that the Server that runs the NLM software is controlled by our IT people and I have no access to it. When I upgrade, I just mail the new LIC file to a guy and he does something and gets the LIC file read. He seems not to know much about the process of how the files get generated and just stops the process and restarts it.
I did read on the KB and here on the forum and used a text editor (Boxer is my favorite) to combine my 4 LIC files into one.
TIA

Thanks for the reply. I guess I was confused by the warnings. The number of seats are the same so everything should be fine.
