I am a newbie to managing Autocad licensing. We have recently had an upgrade to Autocad 2012 . I have installed it on a virtual machine and it has been working well for the past 3 months. We have had an additional purchase (which is not linked to the original) and because of the different end dates, we have been issued a new /different license number.
I have read some articles which say I can join the licenses into 1 to avoid having to repoint all of the clients (200) to the new license.
My questions:
1. Can this be done with the newer versions of Autocad?
2. If I can - do I have to generate the license on the same server?
3. Can anyone point me to some instructions on how to do it?
4. If I cannot do any of the previous, is there a script that I can run to easily change the client workstations to point to the new server?
Any help here would be great.
