When trying to open Acad LT 2012 I get an error saying I need to install the welcome screen. I use the same program on my laptop but can't open it on my desktop. Both computers are MACS I don't use both at the same time.
What version of the MAC OS are you running? I am not familiar with the error you are describing. Can you give the exact text of the message or upload a screenshot? Also, have you tried removing and re-installing the software yet?
