In an office with 30 seats, some networked & some standalone - who is using Inventor & when?
Is there a tool which could ping each seat every hour & record if Inventor is running?
Or have something installed on each work station which logs when Inventor is started & stopped - the log being on the server.
This information is to show the management how effectivly Inventor is being used & whether to buy more standalone seats or more network license seats.
Cheers

for the network seats there are 3rd party tools from JTB: http://www.jtbworld.com/
don't know of any for standalone licenses
you could also use the license manager for the network seats to monitor usage

Our IT people use the JTB network license monitoring tools, and I don't have any reservations in recommending them. As for stand-alone licenses there should be asset locator software available for that from AutoDesk (might be on the install under "Tools and utilities").
