Is AutoCAD Supporting NetWare Pure IP?

    Dear Friends,
We have switched over to Novell Netware Pure IP
and the problem we are faceing that we our clients
are configured for TCP/IP of Novell and the
Licence Manager on Novell is configured for
    IPX/SPX.
Is their any way that the ADLM that is loaded on
NetWare 5.0 Server Supports TCP/IP and not IPX/SPX.
Please help me. I have about 25 users.

    With Warm Regards

In a nutshell, NO. For the time being, Autodesk only supports IPX/SPX in
the NetWare environment so you really have no option in this case.

To add to Kelly's response, while some people get the Novell AdLM to work on
servers running dual protocol, AdLM is SUPPORTED on servers running only IPX
    protocol.

    Dear Friends,
Thanks for the fast reply. I am very unhappy
such a big org. dosn't support TCP/IP on
NetWare, But any how I have been able to run
3-4 clients of AutoCAD on my NetWare 5.0 i.e.
on pure IP by makeing fool of AutoCAD client and
using Novell Client 3.21 to convert IPX/SPX into
TCP/IP and then send it to server.
Though I have not been very sucessful in this
venture, But I hope that I will be able to run
the AutoCAD on a pure IP Network.
    The work is on!

    Thanks once again

    Sumit,

Never say Never because someone will prove you wrong but I seriously doubt
that you will ever achieve stability trying to run the Netware AdLM on a
Netware server using TCP/IP protocol. If you want to run AdLM on a pure IP
network, I suggest you put AdLM on a Windows system, your customer will
benefit from a solution that is supported by Autodesk.

In that environment, I'd recommending setting aside an old machine
running NT WorkStation with a static IP address, and running the version
of ADLM for NT on it. ADLM doesn't have to be on the server - it just
needs to be on a machine with a static IP address.
