Inventor 2015 won't reinstall, language pack is blocking

Hi all,

First, I downloaded and installed Inventor 2015. Since I had some problems with using it I decided to reinstall it. The problem was that Inventor after opening froze. Inventor was not unresponsive but the canvas was white and nothing happened. I was able to use Inventor only once.

After uninstalling Inventor, I wanted install it again but Inventor is an inactive choice now (see the attachment). It says something about the language pack being already installed and I have been cleaning all related folders whole day and I cannot fix it.

Any ideas?

You should be able to use the Microsoft Fix It utility to uninstall the language pack.

http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

Thanks,

Danny

I used that but after reinstalling and I couldn't find any language pack or
anything related to Autodesk.

The other thing you could try is running the following from a Command Prompt in Windows, then choose Yes to uninstall the product.

MsiExec.exe /X{7F4DD591-1964-0001-1033-7107D70F3DB4}

Thanks,

Danny

Danny,

After executing this command some uninstallation was performed but it still
says that the language pack is blocking Inventor from getting installed.

I also cleaned up the registry. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Krzysztof

Krzysztof,

The best thing is to use the Microsoft Fix it utility mentioned previously.

I prefer to use the optioin to Let me select the fixes, then choose Uninstalling and look for an Autodesk Inventor 2015 <language> Language Pack entry and choose Next to remove the entry.

Thanks,

Danny

Danny,

It was not on the list provided by Microsoft Fix it so I chose 'not listed' and used {7F4DD591-1964-0001-1033-

7107D70F3DB4} (i.e. what you sent me before). It solved the problem.

Thank you very much!

Krzysztof
