My motherboard died in my laptop and I have reinstalled Inventor on my desktop but it will not give me an activation code when I enter my serial/group number. I have my old harddrive and I know that Inventor saves a file that contains the activation code etc but I cannot find the file. Can someone tell me the path to find it?

nevermind, found the file but the old activation code won't work...

guess I will have to contact Autodesk...

You will definitely have to contact Autodesk, as your activation code is based on your old hardware. You shouldn't have any problems getting a new activation code from them. 1-800-551-1490.
