Installing Suites from USB Media

Some customers reported that they are not able to install Autodesk Products from the USB Media.

You might receive different error messages during installation and some or all products are not installed successfully.

Additionally, you might see error events (MsiInstaller, CAPI2) such as “Error 1722” in the windows application event viewer.

Depending on the system environment this is due to the large data amount that is transferred from the USB Media to the harddrive during installation.

A workaround is to copy all content from the USB Media to the local harddrive and start the setup routine from there.

Note: This workaround can also be applied if the data is stored on a network drive / media other than the local harddrive

Microsoft released a hotfix to solve the issue for NVDIA USB Chipsets :

"You encounter problems when you move data over USB from a Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2-based computer that has an NVIDIA USB EHCI chipset and at least 4GB of RAM"
