Installing AutoCAD on new computer

I have recently purchased new computers in our office.  I am trying to install my existing seat of AutoCAD 2012 on my new desktop.  I have the serial number that was provided to me some time back from Autodesk.  When I attempt to activate the software, I get an invalid serial number message, with no additional information.

that serial number was probably upgraded try activate manually per this link

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=22021115&linkID=9243099&CMP=OTC-RSS... or use this method

You can use the online method to activate your license here:

http://www.autodesk.com/licensesupport or www.autodesk.com/register

Or you can can call Autodesk Product Registration and Authorization:

1-800-551-1490 > Option 1 (English) > Option 1 > (Stand-alone)

Asia / Pacific: 65.6735.5688
Europe / Middle East / Asia: 41.32.723.9595

You will need to provide your serial number and the request code.
