Hi there,
After installing AutoCAD 2013 64-bit on Windows 7, there were no shortcuts created for it in the Start Menu.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, nada. I've tried uninstalling all Autodesk products, and wiping all traces of them from Program Files, ProgramData, and %AppData%, and still no shortcuts are created upon installation.
I can start AutoCAD Mechanical 2013 by running acad.exe in the installation directory. Still, having shortcuts to all the installed programs would be great.
Why does everything had to be so hard?!?
Yep, that's exctly correct. The Autodesk entry/folder in the Start Menu gets created, but then there's nothing inside it, excapt a label for ' (empty) ' .
I tried installing the network license manager, and that does create an 'LMTOOLS' shortcut under Autodesk.
