    Installation problem - Installation aborted, Result=1619

    Hi. I have an installation problem.

    I am trying to install AutoCad 2012 on my MacBook Air (Windows 7 OS).

    Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x86) Failed Installation aborted, Result=1603

     

    Your product is failing to install because the prerequiste program required by the installer is newer than the version being installed. Please uninstall the prerequisite program causing the issue and run your installer again.

    Thanks for the answer. I spent my day tring to unistall and install again all the C++ and similar Microsoft packages to install Autocad. I unistalled all the stuff like .NET FrameWork, C++, languages pack, everything. I have also done more than one reboot. The only result I got is that now my copy of MatLab is now not working.

     

    I tried to read your blog and the forum discussion but I found no useful tip for my needs.

    Same failure.  Make sure that there are no Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable versions in your Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

    Hello,

    If uninstalling the C++ redistributables did not help, we need to take a different look at the machine. Have you tried to install via a different user account? This could be a permissions based issue. It would be good try another account on the system.

    Also, if you look in the folders of the installer, you can find the c++ installers that are trying to be installed. You can manually try to install these as well. Just double-click on the C++ installed. Installing these prior to the main install may help.
