Installation failure

Hello.  I am trying to install revit and have got all the way to the end only to have it say that Revit has failed as has the medium image library.  I have attached the original error that occurred during installation and the installation logs for both failure notices.  Could someone please help me...I am getting frustrated because this has happened to me before and I gave up and didn't install it.

Hello. The error does not tell me what is wrong specifically, but I definitely see C++ errors in your log (thank you for this).

I would open the Control Panel and uninstall all entries for the Microsoft C++ redistributables for 2005, 2008, and 2010. While you are here, you may as well uninstall NET as well, just in case. Then install the program and hopefully everything will be installed.

This error can happen for a multitude of reasons.

First, make sure you have full permissions to the C:\Windows\Installer folder.  If you do not, add your user and give full permissions.

Also, this can happen in your change your TEMP or TMP environment variable locations from default to something else.

Furthermore, this could be a problem wth your Windows Installer.  Make sure the service itself is not stopping and see if you need to upgrade it. Might check Windows Update.

And always always always make sure you are installing with local admin rights, UAC disabled, and anti-virus temporarily turned off.
