Still having no luck installing any AutoCAD products
I ran the cleanup utility:
I then followed the directions for a clean install and removed all instances of AitoCAD and Autodesk from the computer.
I then attemped an installation of 2009 that used to work on this computer, but it won't let me - I get "A newer version is already installed" (no, it's not!)
I deleted everything I could find again, cleaning all files and the registry. Then I attemped an installation of 2010 thinking there might be a difference. It made it through the .net framework issue but then it crashed and gave me this:
"1:5 2: Failed to Create NGEN Process. 3:2"
Any Help??
TIA

Your Windows Registry contains entries that need to be cleared out. Because of the number of products and potential trouble caused by editing these inappropriately this forum is not the place to discuss a solution. If you are on Subscription log a Service Request. You may also contact your reseller.
I am a student so I don't have a subscrirtion or a re-seller.
Any other wat to get the registry info?
I have sucessfully edited my registry in the past.
TIA
I followed the directioins for a complete uninstall of all AutoCAD programs, is there a file I can delete so I can re-install 2009 with out it thinking "A newer version is already installed"??
TIA
Never mind, I fouind it in this post from Douglas Lauritsen, Autodesk Product Support
Do you find any of these three keys when you look in the Registry Editor (regedit)?
The user is getting a variety of errors regarding .NET and DirectX will not install. Recommendation at this point is to use the .NET cleanup tool:

Nothing I did worked.
Doug spent several hours (Thanks Doug!!) on my computer throuigh a Web session before the Labor Day Holiday and was still not able to resolve my issues. But his comment about the DirectX and .net Framework errors got me to thinking about what could be wrong. I had ordered a DVD trial copy of 2011 and when it arrived I tried an install on a spare hard drive. As an experiment I did a fresh clean install of Windows 7 and 2011 installed just fine with no problems, proving that it was not a hardware problem with my machine.
So on my original hard drive I did a Repair Install of Windows 7 after which I had a sucessful install of 2011.
This has been quite the learning experience,
Thanks for all the help!
