Installation error: 1606. Could not access network location setup

After migrating to a new Windows domain I received the following error:

"error: 1606. Could not access network location setup"

I have been unable to install and run Autocad LT 2011. I have confirmed that I have local administrative privileges I have uninstalled the application and completely removed it from the machine by deleting the necessary files and registry entries with no success.

The install is from local optical media and I have successfully used the disk for installation on another PC, there are 8 users license associated with this serial number, this means that the media is not damaged.

At this point any help would be appreciated.

Copy the media to a folder on your harddrive and install from there.  That should solve it.

I copied the installation files to the local file system as sugested but unfortunatly continue to get Error: 1606. I also removed all the old installation folders that were created during the unssuccesful install and purged the temp installation log files and also attempted the install while being logged in locally with full administration rights, additionally both the firewall ,intrusion prevention and Antivirus software was disabled. A little bit frustrating to say the least.

    Any new suggestions? anyone?

    Uninstall any AutoDesk products.

Delete any folders related to AutoCAD.

Run Regedit.  Click Find, enter "autocad".  Delete.  F3 to find again.  Repeat.  Delete all references.

Do it again for "autodesk".  Delete all references.

Exit the Registry and reboot.  Installation will work.

...except I had to browse to AcadltXX.msi (it's in the installation folder!)

    Cookml,

Hello. I would copy the contents of the disk to a folder on your drive, to eliminate the drive a s a source of conflict. Then delete the AutoCAD LT folders:

    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT

    C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\AutoCAD LT 2013

    C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ACDLT

    C:\Users\All Users\ ACDLT

    C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ACDLT

    C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autocad LT 2013

    C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autocad LT 2013

You will also want to rename your ADSKFLEX_*****_tsf.data file. It is located here:

    C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\

Now install and see if you receive the same message.
