Hi john,

This is most likely failing because the prerequisite already installed on the workstation is newer than the one supplied by the Autodesk installer.  Because Windows will not allow an older version of the prerequisite to be installed, the installation aborts with a 1603 error in the installation log file.

A typical workaround is to uinstall the prerequisite (Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable) via the Control Panel (add / remove programs), and then reinstall the software.

Still not working and coming up with the same error, I uninstalled all the visuals and then tryied to reinstall AutoCAD it made it throught the visual 84 install but failed at the visual 64 install.

See if you can install this prerequisite manually from Microsoft direct.

Your product is failing to install because the prerequiste program required by the installer is newer than the version being installed. If it is already installed, uninstall the prerequisite program causing the issue and run your installer again.

Yes i was able to install it directly from the link but it still fails with the same error, I also read through your other post and nothing from there has worked either. I have completly uninstalled visual from the computer and nothing has worked.

Your only recourse will be to install directly from the link, then modify the setup.ini file to exclude the requirement check for the prerequisite.  This is a very difficult task.  I do have instructions on how to do that in the follow-up to the link I provided.
