Why am I getting install error -network error when trying to download free student inventor?
Why is there no one who answers any phone calls- how do you operate a large company
and not have any phone support?
Consider the number of users, even on the student side. Now consider the number of technical support operators that would need to sit on a phone bank to be answering questions. Now consider how much you paid for the software (if its more than zero, you got scammed...). Is there still an Educational Community site that provides technical assistance?
When downloading software (any software) ensure you have appropriate permissions, UAC settings, anti-virus settings, firewall settings, and so on. Also ensure your hardware (not mentioned) and operating system (again, not mentioned) are appropriate to the software. Not sure if the student download site is limited to install only, if it gives you an option to download the installer first do so. That way, you only need to download *once*, not every single time. You aren't specific if the problem is with the download side, or the installation side, so until further information is provided, answers will be equally vague.
If you are just looking for a product download from another location (your license type is immaterial), you should be able to find it at the Autodesk Customer Service Virtual Agent:
1. Go to http://autodesk.creativevirtual15.com/autodesk/bot.html?isJSEnabled=1&businessArea=Root.Front%20Desk...
2. Select the choice "Download Links".
3. Select your product, then variant, then version as applicable.
4. You should now be presented with the choice to download your software.
if this alternate location fails, your issues are at your end: contact your school's IT department for assistance.

Does your school have a IT Help Desk that can help with your problem?
What about your instructor - any help from that source?
