Our company is upgrading our PC's from Windows XP to WIndows 7. As we are in a locked-down environment (registry and local directory data not modifiable by the user), what areas of the file system and registry need to be unlocked? For our WIndows XP environment, the following areas were modified for full access:
Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER and all sub-entries
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Autodesk
File System:
C:\Program Files\<All Autocad Directories> and all sub-directories and files
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared and all sub-directories and files
C:\Documents and Settings\<username> and all sub-directories and files
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk and all sub-directories and files
Would this translate over directly to the Windows 7 structure, with "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk" replacing "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk" and "C:\Users\<username" replacing "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>", with the appropriate changes regarding "Program Files (x86)"?
yes i believe that is correct
