Hy,

When i Instal revit 2012 the instalattion just stops at step 3 out of 7...The setup is not blocked as the visualisations still move around.I left it for many hours nad it was just not progressing.

I canceled,tried again..didn t work.

The install is downloading content in the background, depending on what content you choose to install and your internet speed this process can take a while to complete.

It got stuck more than 5 hours at the same point. And the averege download speed for revit was 2 mgb/s

Durning the installatiion process try minimizing the dialog to see if an error message has come up in the back ground and you just can't see it.

You could also try the install again, on the product selection dialog (last dialog before the install process begins) choose to configure Revit and make sure only the contnet you need is selected.
