I need 2012 Inventor

I have a problem, I installed 2013 inventor student version to do class assignments at home, at school they are running inventor 2012. the programs do not work togeather. I have uninstalled 2013 inventor and tried to install 2012 inventor using the brouser download with no sucess should I do?

Make sure that you have also removed Design Review 2013 and any Content Center files as it will not install the 2012 package with it on there.  Then in your 2012 installer, only choose to install Inventor 2012.  Make sure that goes on first, then you can decide if you want the rest of the product line.
